WinCo Foods traces its history back to the year 1967, when Ralph Ward and Bud Williams opened a discount grocery under the name Waremart in Boise, Idaho. Waremart employees got an ownership stake in the company owing to an employee stock purchase plan which was headed by president Bill Long. Order Selector: As an order selector with WinCo, your job is to pick order by selecting items from distribution center according to a pick list created from store orders. You will ensure that all the orders filled are complete and correct. You will check inventory information on the computer system and place items on a pallet to ensure product integrity and safety. You will stage completed pallets at assigned dock doors for shipment. You will frequently be lifting weights up to 50 lbs and lifting 80-100 lbs occasionally. You will be working in environments including concrete floors and in temperatures ranging from -12° F to 34°F.
Variety Stocker: As a stocker, your job is to stock, rotate, discard outdated and spoiled products and maintain stockroom. You will order products, cut cases, stack, price and mark merchandise. You will build product displays and operated appropriate equipments like hand trucks and pallet jacks. You will be frequently lifting weights of up to 30 lbs and up to 50 lbs occasionally. You need to know basic math and learn and memorize location of products, checkstand and keyboard procedures. You will also conduct visual inspection of merchandise being placed on shelves. You will use equipments such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, garbage and card board compacter, box knife and electronic forklift as needed.
Maintenance Clerk: As a maintenance clerk, your duty is to maintain floors by waxing, stripping wax, sweeping and mopping. You will be responsible for rounding up and bringing in all shopping carts from the parking lot. You will clean as well as sanitize all restrooms, dust and vacuum store facilities and assist with replacement of lamps in light fixtures. This position entails lifting of weights of up to 30 lbs and use of all types of approved chemicals and solvents to get the job done. You will be using equipments such as automatic floor scrubbing machine, floor polisher, electric pallet jack, electric shopping cart caddy and various hand tools.
