HEB (Here Everything’s Better) is an American supermarket chain that is based in San Antonio, Texas. HEB was founded on November 26, 1905 by Florence Butt. Florence Butt opened the CC Butt Grocery Store on the ground floor of her home in Kerrville, Texas. Howard Edward Butt, the youngest son of Florence Butt, took over the store when he returned from World War I in the year 1919. Howard’s initial attempts at expansion of the store in Central Texas failed. In 1927, Howard successfully launched a second store in Del Rio, Texas. You can get employed as a distribution partner at a HEB distribution center. As a distribution partner, you will be required to carry out several tasks such as -

Order Selection – Select orders for shipment in a clean and organized manner. Also, mark/tag orders with shipment information.

Forklift Operation – Complete the tasks on a forklift in a clean and organized manner. The candidate will put up or bring down the products from assigned slots.

Stocking – Open master cases, verify the product against assigned location and fill selection lanes for pick-to-light selection.

You can also get a job of a trainer. As a trainer, you will be required to train people to perform order selection and forklift operation.
For the these jobs, you will be required to have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong verbal and written communication skills and bi-lingual language skills are a plus. The candidate must be able to lift up to 60 lbs for the duration of the shift, must be capable of working at either a hot or extremely cold environment for the duration of the shift.

To apply online for a distribution center job at HEB, go to www.heb.com. Go to the bottom part of the page and click on “Careers”. This will open up the careers page. Once in the careers page, on the left side you’ll see several options to choose, one of which is MWT jobs. That’s what we want. MWT stands for Manufacturing, Warehouse and Transportation jobs. Click on it. Once you click on it, a page listing various kinds of jobs under Manufacturing, Warehousing and Transportation division will be displayed. At the end of the page, click on “Search for supply chain job opportunities”. Once you click on it, you will be taken to a new page listing all the available jobs.
