Company History –
Gap Inc. was founded in 1969 by Donald G. Fisher and Doris F. Fisher. The first Gap store was opened in Ocean Avenue in San Francisco. It’s second store was opened in San Jose, California in 1970. By the year 1973, Gap had expanded out of California and had more than 25 stores. In the year 1974, Gap began to sell private-label merchandise. After the death of Donald G. Fisher in 2009, his son Robert J. Fisher served on the board of directors for the company. Today, Gap employs more than 135,000 people and has more than 3076 stores across the globe.

Another position is that of a Loss Prevention Agent. This job requires the candidate to have a thorough understanding of the policies and procedures of Gap. The candidate will perform floor duties and deal with theft issues and direct Loss Prevention related issues. A knowledge of Loss Prevention/security procedures is preferred for this job. Once on the site, go to the bottom of the page and click on the “Careers” tab there, which will take you to the careers homepage of the website.
